Kamlesh Bora
Managing Trustee
Kamlesh has been working in the animal rescue and veterinary fields since 2012 . Growing up around animals, he always knew he wanted to work them and went on to study veterinary pharmacy. Kamlesh was the manager and trustee of another animal rescue organisation before co-founding Manali Strays.
Buddhi Singh
Secretary
Running a charity in India requires local knowledge, and Buddhi was born and raised in Manali, but with the added advantage of having lived and studied in Europe.He is a successful business owner, and brings his knowledge to help Manali Strays try to find more sustainable ways to operate.
Raju Ram
Treasurer
Raju was born in Manali so has a lot of knowledge regarding local culture and is vital in helping to work alongside the very rural locals who usually consider anaimals as pure commodities, so dogs are treated with indifference at best. Raju runs a trekking companty and campsite, which is home to several street dogs that found a safe place to escape to.

Victoria Conner
Chair
Torty is Chair of our UK side of the charity. She is a small business owner and dog lover, and has a rescued street dog from India. With in-depth knowledge of running a business, Torty helps us to keep Manali Strays running smoothly.
Irma Wouters
Secretary
It was Irma's original idea to start an animal rescue in Manali. After living in Manali on and off for several years, she was extremely frustrated at seeing street animals sick or injured and not being able to get them the medical attention needed.
Sarah Bannister
Treasurer
Sarah lives in the UK and helps to over see the financial aspect of Manali Strays UK. She herself has two dogs, one of which is street dog rescued from Romania.Sarah splits her time between being a nail technician and Mum to two children and two dogs.
