Enzo is a survivor. When we rescued him he was emaciated, weak, had hardly any fur and had severe muscle twitches. He is a survivor of canine distemper. A deadly disease that often kills dogs, even with treatment.
Enzo received no treatment and lived on the street. But he still survived. However, the disease took its toll on his young body, weakening his immune system and leaving him with the tell-tale sign of twitching.
He is now much healthier, with a beautiful glossy coat and loves to play with his fellow distemper survivor Leonardo.
Why can't Enzo be released back to the streets?
Enzo was found in an area with very few people and no food. With his severe twitching, his energy requirements are much higher, so he needs regular highly nutritious food to help him get his strength back and put weight on.
